Into the Night
02:55
|
|||
They’d arrive late on shore after eight hours at sea.
They sang by the moonlight sweet melodies.
Each oar stroke brought bodies closer to port,
and each oar stroke brought hearts further apart
Phosphorescence framed their trail through the dark,
but just as they faded so did her heart.
They rowed against tide, and on the outside everything seemed fine,
but everything was not fine.
Just as ocean’s tide changed in star light
so changed her heart's tides in this night.
Their rowing brought them close to home,
but it’d not be the one they’d known.
Wet feet cold, bodies sore,
weary bones, heart so worn.
As they rowed by God’s dim light
they rowed into the night.

This is the Go(o)d Life
04:17
|
|||
I don't have all the answers and many days everything's a mess.
I'm still learning to live and learn from my mistakes but still I must confess
That I would not trade this life for anything.
I don't have everything I want but I have much more than I need.
There are times when I feel I've lost my purpose but I've never lost my sense of peace.
So I would not trade this life for anything.
This is the good life.
This is the good life.
I've given up what I can't keep to gain what I can't lose.
This is the good life.
All shall be well!

I Am a Monster
03:20
|
|||
I am a monster; stay away from me
if you don’t want to be eaten alive.
If you see me coming you better run and hide.
Lock yourself inside (kids and pets too).
I’ll sweet talk you, tell you what you want to hear
whispered in your ear. You better steer clear.
Don’t say I gave no warning. If’ou know what’s good for you
here’s what you’ve got to do: run and don’t look back.
I am a monster dressed to deceive. I am the snake with Eve.
Don’t come near to me but I’m still coming for you.

Save Me
|

5. |

I'm on the table, bright light in my eyes.
(This won't be pleasant.) You make your first slice.
There is only one question:
Do you want to be well?
You know I do,
but this still hurts like hell.
Your hand is steady. I begin to bleed.
I trust that You know exactly what I need.
There is only one question:
Do you want to be well?
I know I do,
but this still hurts like hell.
There is only one question:
Do you want to be well?
Is there any other way?
(Because this hurts like hell.)
There is only one question:
Do you want to be well?
There is no other way.
I know this hurts like hell.
